To shoe or not to shoe?

I’d say I can walk pretty well with high-heels. Sure, I wobble about for the first hour, but in the end I’m a pro. Usually I don’t wear anything other than Converse and sandal flip-flops, which makes it a little hard to adjust that easily. However, I do have a few favourite shoes I would give half my chocolate bar to have.

Below are just 3 pairs I’d like having in my cupboard. Aren’t they just cute?

(They look weird, but the heels are unique)

Okay, okay, I admit I have a little bit of a tacky taste in most shoes, but these aren’t! (Right?)

Angels? God? What?

I think chaotic is far too mild to describe the happenings the past 3 months. There were good times and there were bad times, but I think both worked together even if one isn’t exactly what anyone wants. The good times was definitely taking a moment to enjoy the summer with loved ones, doing things and learning more about one’s self than any other time in the past. For me personally, I can definitely say I now know more about my emotions, goals as well as my fears. The bad times sadly, had to guide me into learning about this. Which in a way is a bitter-sweet success. It may sound strange, but I wouldn’t change what happened, even if I had overreacted just a bit on a few occasions.
I always believe that no matter how low you are, how frustrated and at the end you feel about everything, there will be a guiding light that will help you back up on your feet. Sure, it’s all got to do with how you see it and what you believe in, if you believe at all. But there’s nothing wrong with having a spark of hope, right? It makes everyone human, no matter what their beliefs are. With this entry, I’m not really trying to bring up the entire whoo haa about things like God does exist and you better believe it. No, I’m making this to express my thoughts on such a topic.

Japan was struck by a terrible earthquake and tsunami on March 11th. Many people died and so many families are now homeless with no chance of going back to rebuild it back up. Upon watching some YouTube videos about this tragedy, I always saw heart-warming comments as well as sickening ones. The good ones were from people that genuinely felt for the country, its people and would have done everything to give a helping hand. Most even left prayers for the lost lives and the families left behind. And then you have the other side of the coin where others were saying it was a punishment for Japan, that if God existed, he wouldn’t have let that happen as well as many, many other nasty things. But you know what? And I know this may sound twisted, but everything happens for a reason. Despite how terrible this was, this quake brought the world together on another level in my opinion. It gave everyone the opportunity to think more about giving and caring for another. While it is sad that the quake is almost forgotten news now, it does make me feel better to know that even so, the country is still getting helped from ones that didn’t see it as a trend that was set aside. I won’t go into detail about the nuclear plants since that’s a whole new story, but I’m amazed at how strong the Japanese are right now. They may have nothing anymore, but they don’t seem to want to give up their hope that things will get better. And it will. Just have faith in it. Just don’t snub someone else’s faith by telling them there is no God and that they deserved it. Such things will not help a 5 year old get a warm bed and food. No one deserves to be taken out of their home, and past war should be left rested so that everyone can move on to a better future no matter what the conditions are.

I may have not made much sense, but that’s just part of what I feel. Hope, belief and care is what everyone has in them. Even if you don’t believe in the Lord above, a quick prayer won’t do harm. Just because we can’t see Him (or Her if one prefers), it doesn’t mean he isn’t there. After my few personal troubles, I can say that I’ve never felt this near to Him and the Angels than I am now. Believing and listening to them has helped be more confident. Sure, some days you just want to say fuck it and hide forever in a corner because something bad happened, but if you take a deep breath, relax, you’ll know that it won’t be like that forever. My favourite quote would be that if life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Or else you’ll just accept the lemons and suck on the sour forever if you don’t do something about it. Just ask the angels for help, and you will receive it if you're open to them.

Long story short, try and open up more. You’d be surprised.

Update! Yay!

O helo there. Long time no see. Yeah, blame that on me and my low attention span. The good news is, I have much to share!

Topics to come up:

1. The supernatural and beliefs
2. Transformers 3/Pirates of the Caribbean 4
3. Health
4. Random celebrities.

Stay tuned!

For now, I’ll make a quick post on Nadya “Octomom” Suleman. She recently (No clue how legit this is) told a magazine how she hates her babies. I quote her saying: 'I hate the babies, they disgust me. My older six are animals, getting more and more out of control, because I have no time to properly discipline them.'

Now if I’m not correct, but didn’t she want them in the first place? I understand her breaking down and all seeing as ONE child can be a hassle. But what I don’t understand is why she’s not thinking about giving them up to foster families? I know there’s a whole lot more to it than just passing a young child on to someone else, but it would benefit her as well as the children. She’s always allowed to see them if she makes such agreements. One side of me pities her, the other side just thinks that it’s her own fault and road she took. I wish her and her kids all the best however, but I hope there’s a family out there willing to care for the kids and help out. Kids are our future, and the better you lead them through life, the better our world would be. I doubt Nadya would want her babies to end up in jail, appear on Teen Mom or even get murdered when a drug deal goes bad. Positive thinking, my friends!

Fast 5!

Eeeeee~~~~!!! Fast5 is soon out. The premiers in various places has already taken place. Can.Not.Wait.

Strobo Pop

Okay, so I almost grew up around the music of Nena. While I am not her world’s biggest fan or really a fan at all, I know many of her songs off by heart. Her songs are pretty catchy as well as terribly annoying. So annoying that I just have to listen to them. One of my all time ‘favorites’ is 99 Luftballons and the new version of Nur Geträumt. And recently, I’ve become quite a fan of her featured in Die Atzen’s new song called Strobo Pop. Now see, I’m not an Atzen fan. They’re your typical German beer party artists that have songs you can only endure if you’ve had a six pack (or just really like such music). Oddly enough, their new song sounds like something LMFAO and David Guetta mixed. If I didn’t know better, I’d think they were signed under CTR. It’s actually a good song and had potential to make people get up from their ass and dance.

Believe me, I speak of experience. Below you can find the link to their video on MusikTV.

Not sure what she was going for with that outfit, but for a 50+ year old, she can work it, I guess.

Perfectionist

More Natalia Kills!

I got her BRAND NEW album Perfectionist off iTunes (check your local Amazon for prices, though if iTunes doesn't have it on offer in your country). Worth every penny! I love the song “If I was God”. I insist everyone give her a listen. And watch her new video Wonderland. There’s an uncensored version too. But the end of it might be a little weird and disturbing. But I think that was the point.

More Natalia pictures!

Porcelain Black from Porcelain & The Tramps

I've been a big fan of Porcelain & the Tramps fan for a few years now. They released their EP in 2007. On it was the song "King of the World", that I completely fell in love with.
Only problem is that Porcelain has been completely underground. Very few people know about Porcelain & the Tramps. Honestly, that's a fuckin' shame.

Lil Wayne has signed her to his label, and has collaborated with her to release a new song and video to help get her mainstream recognition. She's been working hard for this for 4 years now, and I sincerely hope she does well and get the fame she deserves. She's really a great person, and has such a unique voice, that when the mainstream music business is the same thing rehashed over and over, she's a breath of fresh air.

Water

I wasn’t sure how to begin this post and if it would even be very important to many readers. But I decided to just go ahead and do my thing.

WATER IS GOOD FOR YOU.

While sodas, coffees, teas and other beverages are great, you cannot live without plain water. Whether it is in sparkly form or still. You need it. Why you ask? Well for one, water has natural elements in it that your body needs. Secondly, drinking sugar from things such as colas and alcohol is bad for your teeth AND makes you even thirstier than before you drank it.

“Soft drinks have emerged as one of the most significant dietary sources of tooth decay, affecting people of all ages. Acids and acidic sugar by-products in soft drinks soften tooth enamel, contributing to the formation of cavities. In extreme cases, softer enamel combined with improper brushing, grinding of the teeth or other conditions can lead to tooth loss.

Sugar-free drinks, which account for only 14 percent of all soft drink consumption, are less harmful1. However, they are acidic and potentially can still cause problems.” - Colgate

“Water adjusts the body's temperature and assists in digestion. It removes toxins from the body and also makes necessary body fluids. The chemical reactions that support life take place in a water medium, with water being an important reactant or product of these reactions.

It can be said that the chemistry of life is water chemistry. For the body to function properly, it must be hydrated properly. Moreover, the qualities and properties of the water we drink can determine the quality of our health.
How much water do you drink everyday?

Not coffee, tea or soda - we are talking about water in the purest form. Coffee, tea, soft drinks, and even alcoholic beverages do contain water, but they also contain chemicals and additives harmful to your body. These are not substitutes for water and they do not hydrate and cleanse your body like pure water.

• The adult human body is made up of 60-75% water.
• The brain is made up of about 85% water.
• Blood, which carries nutrients and oxygen throughout the body, is about 90% water.

You see, water carries life energy - water is your lifeline!” - pH Water for Health

As you can see, water is good. And water is the source of good skin. So start drinking more water! At least one or two litres a day.

Don't forget this either!

Miss Representation

Miss Representation is a documentary from writer/director (and former first lady of San Francisco) Jennifer Siebel Newsom which "explores women's under-representation in positions of power and influence and challenges the limited and often disparaging portrayal of women in the media." Newsom tapped some famous faces to speak about women and media in the film — among them, Condoleezza Rice, Gloria Steinem, Katie Couric, Margaret Cho, Nancy Pelosi, Jane Fonda, Rosario Dawson — but some of the most powerful voices are those of high school students.

Miss Representation has been acquired by OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, and should air on television in the fall. In the meantime, there are a few screenings scheduled for next month.

Movie mania!

This summer (and possibly next!), I’m looking forward to a couple of movie that’ll be hitting the big screen. Most of which that have to do with comic books coming to life.

Now see, I’m an avid movie go’er. I love movies. ACTION movies with some fantasy here and there. I’m not really a fan of love stories or comedies when it comes to going to the cinema. On a rare occasion, I will watch either one of those if the plot sounds interesting enough to get my attention. The last comedy movie I saw in a theatre was “Mamma Mia” with Meryl Streep and Colin Firth (love that guy). It was entertaining and it was a good movie, but it didn’t make me want to watch it a second time. Spiderman on the other hand...

I LOOOOOOVE Marvel comics. And Spiderman belongs to my all time favourites. The movies? Don’t even get me started. I can watch those any day, all day. Nothing like a Tobey Maguire in a blue & red and/or black spandex. While I quite enjoyed all 3 thus far, I’m quite curious about the 4th film. Instead of Tobey, Peter “Spidey” Parker will be portrayed by Peter Garfield. This plot will be about Peter Parker’s highschool years. Seems interesting, but will it be the same as the first three? We shall see! The movie sadly only comes out in 2012, but the website for it is now up with this cool picture:

The next “to see” movie will definitely be FAST AND F*UCKING FURIOUS 5 aka Fast5! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!! I’m seriously having a major fangasm right now. Give me Vin Diesel. Give me Paul Walker. GIVE ME DWAYNE “THE ROCK” JOHNSON. There’s no words in the world that could possibly show how excited I am. This movie is out next month. Must.See.

Finally, a few other movies I wish to have my eyes induldge in:

Captain America! Got to love Chris Evans in this trailer. Nice visual effects that make him appear, well, scrawny.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides!11 AAAAAAAAAAHHH!!! JOHNNY DEPP!!! AAAAHHHHH!!!! Same reaction as Fast 5!

X-Men First Class. I’ll keep my opinion on this open until I’ve seen it.

Cars 2. I MUST SEE MATER!!!
The Green Lantern. I’ll only be seeing this for the fact Ryan Reynolds is in it. :D

And finally. The most important of all existing life in this universe.....!!!

So as you can all see, I have a lot to watch. Hooray! *record scratchy sound* Hopefully I will not be disappointed.
